Associate Creative Director

Associate Creative Directors are consummate professionals, strong communicators, and have a deep understanding of design trends and technology platforms. Our Associate Creative Directors take a hands-on approach to providing direction and leadership to their project teams. They are responsible for making strong decisions and pushing the team to deliver stunning creative concepts, rooted in user experience objectives, as well as overseeing project design all the way through execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand client vision/direction, set strategic and creative direction that exceeds client expectations and strategic objectives 
  • Lead projects, drive creative decisions, coordinate efforts, and serve as a point of escalation for clients and fellow Gorillas
  • Provide hands-on guidance and 'critical' feedback to clients and team members, ensure best practices are being followed on client engagements
  • Lead creative activities such as requirements gathering, research, concepting, and design
  • Define strategies, prepare, and lead presentations for deliverables, sales, conferences, events and workshops
  • Lead project teams in determining creative and staffing requirements for projects
  • Mentor and manage team members

Required Skills:

  • 4-6+ years hands-on background creating exceptional digital experiences; 2+ years at a digital agency in an Art Director or equivalent role
  • Portfolio of work which showcases commerce expertise across multiple creative disciplines; such as content, design, UX, and motion.
  • Extensive knowledge of multiple creative disciplines, including copy, design, UX, motion, and creative technology
  • Expertise in the uses of different technology platforms, programming languages, and industry-leading conventions in design
  • Effective presentation skills and communication abilities at all levels of both internal and client organizations.
  • Strong ability to provide clear creative direction and timely and helpful feedback to improve creative processes to keep work on budget and on schedule
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite programs
  • A great attitude and a love of collaboration
